I am so embarrassed

I think this is the longest I've ever gone between posts, and I have pretty much nothing to show for it. Except for some pretty unimpressive pictures.

A recycled present

Santa brought this present to Donovan and Howie in 2004. We packed it up when we moved and thought this was a great occasion to unpack it. We've been conditioning Cam for several months in preparation of this day. We casually pass by the Thomas books at the library and look at as many as he'll sit through. We randomly put on Thomas DVDs. Santa even brought him a small Thomas engine, all in an effort to guarantee a positive reaction on his birthday. That's not brainwashing is it? If it is, oh well, it worked!







He was totally surprised! And he loved it.

Space Derby

This year the Cub Scouts did a Space Derby instead of the Pinewood Derby. Matt and Donovan worked hard on his rocket and created this:



Donovan's rocket won his first heat and he was very happy. He didn't win anymore, but he genuinely loved watching the other rockets race.






On a separate note, Temple Square is gorgeous. My sister and I visited there after our trip to Women's Conference last week. My mom made it to Women's Conference too and we had a great time. Trips like those always seem too short.
