Donovan's new specs

So when Donovan failed his eye exam when he was 7, it wasn't totally because he wasn't paying attention.

Having a sporting time

When you can spend $36 and take your whole family to 2 sporting events, you can't pass that up! First up was a trip to the Air Force Academy to watch them play BYU. Sad outcome, but fun dressing up, singing the fight song twice and seeing the Cougars (and a flyover).

Nina was in fine form.

Cam was beyond excited to wear his Cougars shirt and see BYU. I know his face doesn't show it, but I am being serious - he was really excited to go. Not sure if it was what he was anticipating though.

We made Howie wear a BYU shirt, which he immediately covered up with this bright orange shirt. He didn't want to be there and he certainly didn't want a picture taken. He cheered for Air Force.

Next up was a trip to Coors Field to see the Rockies play. Love the cheap tickets and the nice ushers who hook you up with much better seats. Another sad outcome. And Howie cheered for the Padres. Noticing a trend? Howie does not root for the home team.

Nina and Dinger. Cam was too afraid to go near him.

And the boys cheering for the Broncos.

Donovan's field day

Our kids' school holds their field day in the fall. That fall day was today. Cameron and I made it to Donovan's portion and enjoyed following him around some of the stations.

Howie's field day

We weren't able to stay that long for Howie's field day, but we got to watch him play games at a few stations. It seemed like he had a fun time.

A horrible picture of one of his favorite stations - throwing a wet sponge at a 5th grader.
