Some fishing at the rivah

One of Matt's favorite things about our trips to Virginia is the time he gets to spend with his dad, brothers and kids fishing. This year was a little different than in years past in that he had tons of success fishing right off the side of the yard. Usually Matt and Ben and whoever else wants to go spend a few hours out on the boat fishing, so having them close was fun. We all got to see what he was catching and he was available to help out when needed. Matt fished early in the morning, throughout the day and past sundown and couldn't have been happier. He caught a new species, red drum (also called redfish or puppy drum) which is always exciting for him. And then he caught a Spotted Sea Trout which he hasn't ever caught in Virginia. He made some good fishing memories this year and we're glad we got some pictures.
Although you can't see them, Matt tried to get a picture of the dolphins that were all around them. One dolphin accidentally caught hold of their lure and took off with all the line. I guess it was a crazy sight!

It was fun to see the fishing successes right around us! Glad they had a fun time! We had a fun time too!
