The almost birthday boy was lucky enough to go on a date with Matt tonight to see the Colorado Rapids play the San Jose Earthquakes. They got all dressed up in their Rapids gear and had a great time together. I love how awesome Matt is. It is important to him to spend individual time with each of our kids, which is not an easy thing to do. Cameron sure felt loved tonight! I was happy to send him off.

Just a Little Cut
Once I realized that Rex's hair was curly, I haven't wanted to cut it. But it was starting to get so long that it wasn't holding the curls as well so I admitted defeat and set him up with my favorite stylist, Leah. I, of course, forgot to take an after picture, but I did get a shot of what a perfect little client he was. All serious and professional. And loving that Leah has cable.

Sleeping on the Job
Rex has been such a patient little boy. In all my PTO and volunteer doings, he happily follows me around. He helps me make copies, he grabs papers from the printer, he helps me cut out letters for the bulletin board, then hands them to me while I staple them up. He will spend hours with me at the school and never complain. But there are sometimes when he just needs a little break.

7th Grade Spring Band Concert
This cute boy played beautifully tonight. He has really made an effort to practice regularly, and I love that we can hear his progress. He remains the lone horn player, and therefor is the section leader again. I am glad he chose to continue playing again next year. These concerts are fun to attend.

Little Running Giants
I am so impressed with Cameron and his buddy Kinnan. These two first graders are among the top of our entire Run Club. They find a good pace and then chat the miles away, just like their mamas. Kinnan's mom Michelle is my good friend and running buddy. I love how hard they work and the positive attitude they always have. It's wonderful to have a friend who pushes you to be better, and that is what they have found in each other.

Women's Conference 2015
We enjoyed another fabulous Women's Conference this weekend! We really missed Jill though. When I look at the pictures I took, it makes it seem like we spent more time eating and shopping than we did conferencing. But we loved every single speaker, and I'm pretty sure we didn't ditch any classes this year. Here we are on the first morning all eager to head inside.
And then a quick stop at jen's house.
Then off for new cell phones!
And lots of eating.
And I hope that next year I will be able to see the inside too!
The Provo Half Marathon
We thought it was perfect timing that this 1/2 Marathon was the same weekend as Women's Conference. Kelly, Michael and I signed up to run. In a way, it was kind of a pain that we signed up for this race. Kelly and I freaked out about what we ate, and when it would pass - if you know what I mean... We got there nice and early and froze up there in the canyon waiting for the race to start. Michael and his long arms took a pre-race picture
We all ran at our own pace. I surprised myself for most of the race running a little faster than I expected. I hoped to finish under 2 hours, something I haven't been able to do yet. But mile 11 was a killer for me and I ended up 55 seconds short of my goal. I will get that sub 2 hour time yet!! My dad wants ready for me when I finished so I went back and refinished the race for a picture.
And here we all are with our medals and smiling faces.
